When choosing, pay attention to the number of outlets: for a standard shower, one outlet is enough, while systems with a rain shower or hydromassage require models with 2–3 outlets. It’s also important to consider the type of cartridge, the quality of the material (brass is preferred), and the availability of additional features such as a thermostat or temperature limiter.
A wall-mounted shower faucet can be installed on your own if the pipe connections are already in place and there is no need to cut into the walls. A concealed (built-in) faucet is best installed during renovation with the help of a plumber, since all plumbing connections are hidden inside the wall — it is much more difficult to fix installation errors later.
The standard installation height for a shower faucet is 90–110 cm from the floor level (or the shower tray base). The shower holder is usually placed at 150–200 cm. For concealed installations, the placement is planned in advance, before tiling, since changing the height afterward is practically impossible.
